I downloaded the free trial of final fantasy 14 a realm reborn and everything went fine until it got to patch 2015.05.26.0000.0000 where once it gets to about 810MB/6866.40MB it goes to a screen that says "unable to download patch files [20512] [25008] [20495]".

[Tech Support] So after scouring the web for a while because me, my girlfriend, and my friend all had the same issue "Unable to download patch files [30413] [25008] [20495]" while trying to install… My friend had this exact issue last night. We tried EVERYTHING. Port forwarding, deleting folders, restarting the download. Turning off antivirus, changing router settings, etc etc. Eventually, as you said, the vpn seems to have done the trick. I troubleshoot issues like this for a living. At this point I've proven 100% this is "a game issue": The game starts patching fine, then fails to patch on the same file, every time, and fails at the same place, everytime (The 2014.06.25.0000.0000 patch). Solutions are not "out there", and they do not work. Imagine blaming end users because they can't download a game without using a workaround I've been sitting here downloading the base game for 3 hours and then the launcher decided at 30% it couldn't download data forcing me to start again, I don't use a vpn and I made sure to deal with anything that could interfere unable to download patch files [30413] [25008] [20495] At this point I'm 100% certain there are no issues on my end and that this is a SE problem. FFXIV has worked on this computer for years. Can't install the game.
